3 killed on way to funeral in W. Pennsylvania

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - November 23, 2010

Five others in the van were injured, as was the driver of the pickup. State police in Butler say the crash happened on Route 308 in Cherry Township about 6:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say it appears the van crossed into the lane of the oncoming pickup, which tried to stop. But reconstructionists were continuing to work to determine exactly what happened.

Names of the victims haven't been released, but police say the van's driver and two passengers are dead. Investigators say the van was headed to Punxsutawney for a funeral.
