Onondaga (ahn-uhn-DAH'-gah) County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick says the 21-year-old Liverpool man has been arrested on a charge of murder in the death of Jenni-Lyn Watson.
The man is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday night in Clay town court.
Fitzpatrick says the man was upset when Watson tried to end their relationship in early October.
The arrest came hours after searchers combing through woods in Clay Central Park for any signs of Watson found the body of a woman believed to be the missing Mercyhurst College junior.
The remains have not been positively identified but were consistent in age and race with Watson.
