According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's office, Leandro A. Rodriguez, 36, of Hackensack, suffered a gunshot wound below his left eye and another to the left side of his face, according to results of an autopsy performed Thursday night.
Galloway Township detectives responded to 542 South Berlin Avenue at 1:36 p.m. Thursday afternoon for a report of a body found in the backyard.
Upon arrival, detectives located the victim in the back yard of the home.
The prosecutor did not say what may have spurred the shooting or how long Rodriguez's body may have been in the home's backyard before it was found.
