Trenton mayor's brother arrested at Water Works

TRENTON - December 6, 2010

It was just after 10:30 this morning, that investigators from the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office arrived at the Trenton Water Works armed with search warrants.

Shortly thereafter, they came out carrying boxes of what were said to be records that could serve to be potential evidence in the case.

Hauled away in the handcuffs during the raid was Mayor Tony Mack's brother 49-year-old Stanley Davis, also known as "Muscles," who works as a supervisor at Water Works.

Also arrested was 49-year-old Keith Williams, another worker.

The investigation is focused on allegations of theft by deception and official misconduct, allegations that workers were doing side jobs with Water Works equipment and collecting up to $5,000 per job, money that should have gone into the city's treasury, but instead was allegedly pocketed.

At the same time, the workers were allegedly being paid by the city, often times on an overtime basis, according to a press release from the prosecutor's office.

On one such side job, the prosecutor alleges workers were being paid holiday wages.

At Mack's home today, people could be seen coming and going, but there was no comment.

Stanley Davis' bail has been set at $200,000.

Bail for Keith Williams at $50,000.

A third person was also arrested on an unrelated warrant out of Hammonton Township.
