You don't find this in a suitcase everyday

WASHINGTON (AP) - December 10, 2010

But U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials at a Washington-area airport found a suitcase packed with some really bizarre stuff.

Authorities say a passenger from Ghana had elephant tails and a dried hedgehog in his luggage.

The suitcase also contained two dried chameleons and sheets with chicken blood on them.

The man told authorities they were for spiritual purposes.

He had declared dried herbs and clothing.

Officials say the items had the potential for carrying disease, so most have been burned.
