Last minute can mean big savings

Haven't finished your Christmas shopping yet? That may be a good thing.

At the King of Prussia Mall, sale signs are everywhere.

Ann Taylor Loft is taking 40% off your entire purchase through Christmas Eve. Charles David is offering discounts between 20 and 70 percent.

Juicy Couture is cutting the cost of track suits 40%. The Gap offered a 50% discount Wednesday morning, and will likely have additional doorbuster sales Thursday and Friday. And despite predictions of inventory shortages, there's plenty to buy.

Here's another - You can take advantage of the 40% off sale at Banana Republic.

And it's not just mall retailers hoping to lure last-minute shoppers. Toys R Us stores are going to be open around-the-clock through 9 or 10 p.m. Friday, depending on location.

And if you go online, you can save even more at many stores.

On our Codes and Coupons page, you can find 20% off coupons for Payless and Party City and big buck discounts from Staples on things like Dr. Dre headphones or a Flip camera.

Finally, gift cards are always a last-minute option. On SpaWeek.com, you can buy a $100 gift card for $80.

And if you give mall gift cards, the recipients can stretch them at after-Christmas sales with January clearance sales.
