Kelly Hofmann, 26, of the 900 block of Melrose Place in the Melrose Place Apartments, has been charged with felony assault and weapons offenses.
Police were called to her home around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday where they found the boyfriend, who said Hofmann had stabbed him with a kitchen knife during a dispute.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Hofmann was arrested without incident, police said.
Officers added that Hofmann, who is a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing weapons.
She was sent to the Woman's Correctional Institute after failing to post $10,000 secured bail. She was also issued a no contact order.
