Kids countdown to Noon Year's Eve

PHILADELPHIA - December 31, 2010

Children got to celebrate at the stroke of 12 noon.

The Please Touch Museum is the perfect place to ring in the New Year, especially if your ages one month to 11 years old.

Actually, they rang in the Noon Year in Hamilton Hall Friday afternoon, counting down the minutes to 12 noon.

And oh did they celebrate, thousands of little party animals and grown-ups, including the Suter family, who came from Virginia to visit granddad Berner in Brookhaven.

The McClintic family from Gwynedd Valley brought their 4 sons ages 6 months to 6 years.

"We have Blake, Nolan, Quinn and Hudson."

"This is our 5th Noon Year's Eve. We came when our son was one. The kids love it and it's a great time," said Tom McClintic.

The idea is to have the kids enjoy the New Year without keeping them up too late.

Many of the young party-goers had no plans to retire early.

"I stay up every time," said Hope Williams.

Dad is Philadelphia D.A., Seth Williams, and big sis, Taylor had fun as well.

"You're never too old to come to the Please Touch Museum," said Taylor Williams.

And with the 2011 ball fully descended from its dome, the young party-goers had only one wish for all of us.

"Happy New Year!"
