Flames broke out around 10:20 p.m. at the home located along the 2300 block of Sconset Lane.
Fire crews arrived to find a single family home fully ablaze.
It took firefighters the better part of an hour to knock the fire down.
A man believed to be in his 50's, suffered burns and was air lifted to Christiana Hospital.
A woman suffered smoke inhalation and was taken by ground to Christiana Hospital.
There is no word yet on a cause of the fire.
