Thirty-eight-year-old Jennifer Krummert, of Ambridge, faces a preliminary hearing Thursday on insurance fraud charges. Online court records don't list an attorney for Krummert, who doesn't have a listed telephone.
State agents say Krummert collected the money from told Minnesota Life Insurance Co. in November 2009. When her sister also filed a claim, the insurance company paid her, too, then sought repayment of $6,500 from Krummert.
Agents say Krummert told them she spent the money and can't repay it. But her sister told investigators that both received $25,000 from another life insurance policy held by their father.
