Pizza Hut in Del. robbed 2 times in 2 nights

WILMINGTON, Del. - January 7, 2011

The Action Cam was at the Pizza Hut along the 1300 block of Veale Road Thursday night.

Police say a 33-year-old employee of the Pizza Hut was in the rear of the building taking out the trash. The victim was then confronted by three male suspects, and one was armed with an automatic handgun.

The thieves then forced the victim back into the restaurant where a second victim was located. The suspects forced both men to the floor and tied their hands up. They then removed money and cellular phones from the victim's pockets.

The suspects then forced the second victim to accompany them to the restaurant's cash registers and safe where they then removed an undisclosed amount of money.

They then placed both victims in the restaurant freezer and then fled in an unknown direction. The victims were able to free themselves and call 911. They were not injured.

On Wednesday night, police say, two men held up the same restaurant just before 6 p.m.

In that incident, police say a man pretended to buy a drink. When the cash register was openend, the man displayed a gun and demanded money. The clerk turned over the cash and the suspect fled toward Veale Road. No one was injured.

The suspect in Wednesday's holdup is described as a black man standing 5'07"-5'09" tall, weighing 150-170 lbs, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black or dark green "puffy" hooded jacket with fur around the collar, and dark jeans. He was also armed with an automatic handgun.
