Snowy Saturday fun for some

PHILADELPHIA - January 8, 2011

"We need rock salt for the driveway because we ran out from all the other snow from this year and last year," said Nicole Monsalude.

A blizzard and two back to back snow storms could be a bit much for these customers, but for one couple, college sweethearts from Wisconsin, it's no biggie.

"This is nothing? Two to four inches, its fun," said Woody Mogaka.

"But people stock up at the grocery stores," said Irasa Lee.

And grocery shopping was definitely on the priority list today. People came to the Acme to stock up on that bread and milk before they got snowed-in.

"I need some food, don't want to be trapped in the house without food," said Camille Clark.

But not all the shoppers feared Snowmageddon, one family simply wanted to get food for their Eagles party without a hitch.

"We want to get out before it gets too dangerous to drive, to get all of our food and get ready for the game tomorrow," said Meg Ferguson.

But let us not forget, snow is also about fun, and that's exactly what was being had on the hill behind the Art museum.

"There's a little jump there we hit a bump, but we were fine. She was a little scared at first, but I think she wants to keep doing it," said Nick Speitel.

That bump quickly became quite the competition for these neighbors.

"You gotta make it thrilling, we're trying to get out here and get into space, you know launch," said Jeffrey Williams.

Well if they need any tips, they can learn it all from another little guy.

"I mean I've been sledding before and I'm pretty good at it myself, but it was pretty hard to avoid falling off," said Ivo Lankin.

He's six by the way.
