Berks County District Attorney John Adams says 40-year-old Jeremy Kreiger exchanged gunfire with police Sunday night at a home in Hamburg. Adams tells The Reading Eagle that Kreiger killed his mother-in-law, 62-year-old Joan Marie Wagner, during the shootout.
It was then that Adams says Wagner's husband, Clayton Wagner, killed his son-in-law. An autopsy for Kreiger is scheduled for Monday.
Authorities say Joan Wagner was killed by a single gunshot wound as she fled the house.
