Investigators say Shane Hopkins, 37, broke into a home in the 1500 block of Blackrock Road back on Friday.
The home, which belongs to a police officer from another jurisdiction, was broken into through the rear door.
Once inside, police say Hopkins stolen an estimated $15,000 in jewelry along with computers and other electronics.
Police say they have a witness who saw Hopkins and his girlfriend, Kimberly Williams, 33, board a train to New York after the burglary.
