ABC executive Paul Lee said Monday that he's "thrilled" to have Marvel Entertainment in the family, a reference to The Walt Disney Co.'s acquisition of the comic book giant. The 2009 deal gave Disney ownership of a bevy of Marvel characters.
It's easier to launch a known project, Lee said, but what distinguishes a show is the executive producer. He noted that movie writer-director Guillermo del Toro of "Hellboy" fame is working on the Incredible Hulk pilot.
Hulk and Jessica Jones probably won't be the only Marvel projects headed for Disney-owned ABC, Lee told the Television Critics Association.
