Clown therapists helping young patients

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - January 16, 2011

Dan Griffiths and Danielle Conover are entertaining patients at a hospital in San Francisco.

They aren't real doctors... they are Doctor Schnozensoop and Nurse Bumble, clown therapists, of sorts, from Clown Zero, a non-profit group.

"Our program, we're not for profit community supported organization and we're dedicated to bettering the lives of children and families through humanitarian clowning and therapeutic performing arts," said Griffiths.

And they are succeeding at doing that. The clown zero organization has visited hospitals, shelters, and victims of tragedies.
