Police: Pa. man taped Korean exchange students

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - January 14, 2011

Forty-two-year-old Michael Scott Scheeler was arraigned Thursday on child sex charges after police say recorded the 16- and 17-year-old Korean exchange students using cameras mounted in the bedrooms and bathroom of his Lower Milford Township home.

Authorities say Scheeler used four miniature cameras connected to equipment in the ceiling to make the videos.

Investigators say one of the students told an administrator at Faith Christian Academy about videos spotted on Scheeler's laptop. A police search turned up the equipment and dozens of DVDs containing videos of the students.

The videos were allegedly taken from March 10, 2010, to Nov. 10, 2010.

Bail was set at $50,000. It was not immediately clear if Scheeler had an attorney.

A preliminary hearing is set for next week.
