The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. in a townhouse community at August Drive and Brookfield Drive
Authorities say officers encountered a man at that location and shots were fired.
State police say one person is being questioned at this hour.
A heavy police presence is on location, including police helicopters, officers from surrounding jurisdictions and the New Jersey State Police.
A $15,000 reward is being offered for anyone with information.
