Officials announced on Wednesday the Atlantic City Boardwalk Rodeo, a Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association-sanctioned event, will take place at Boardwalk Hall on April 1-3.
The Press of Atlantic City reports every casino is sponsoring the event, which was first proposed by Resorts Casino Hotel chief executive Dennis Gomes (gohmz).
The rodeo will feature bareback horse riding, tie-down roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling and bull riding.
Officials say 50 cattle, 30 bulls and 40 horses will be brought in for the event.
The prize purse will be $56,000, with 10 to 12 contestants in each event.
