According to the Post-Standard, police say it happened Thursday while George Baker was parked along county Route 5 in Lafargeville loading up bales of hay to take back to Pennsylvania.
Police say the 66-year-old driver from Gap, Pa., was securing tie-down straps when three hay bales fell onto him. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the accident is under investigation, but charges are not expected.
