Parenting: New Sandwich Ideas for Kids

January 24, 2011

Just recently, I insisted they start eating ham and cheese, but it's a stretch. All they really want is peanut butter and jelly.

A neighbor introduced us to peanut butter and nutella sandwiches. I'm not sure the chocolate hazelnut spread is great, but at least it's SOMETHING different!

So, I vowed to come up with a few more lunches that they may be interested in trying. I figured if I introduced a list of fun ideas, they might become a bit more adventurous as part of the game.

I went to Parenting.com and found a neat list of ideas including: Cheesy cinnamon toast, grilled cheese with tomatoes snuck in the middle, and cheese quesadillas with avocado.

On the Better Homes and Gardens website, they had some creative ideas for turning your sandwiches into cute little shapes the kids couldn't help but to love! I especially like the swimming tuna, alphabet, and star bright sandwiches.

I'm going to see if my picky eaters will take a bite! Let me know if it works for you!
