Robber couldn't spend the money anyway

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) - January 28, 2011

Police in Princess Anne, Maryland, say they've arrested a man who tried to steal phony money from a closed bank branch.

Police Chief Scott Keller says a motion detector alarm went off in the PNC Bank.

Officers say they found George Ballard inside taking the phony money.

The bogus bills are used for training.

But police say Ballard thought it was the real thing.

He's now charged with burglary.
