Neighbors called emergency personnel at about 2:15 p.m. Friday and reported hearing five to seven shots. Police said they found a man in his late 50s slumped over in the driver's seat of a running car that had drifted into a snowbank. He was still wearing a seat belt.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, but his name was not immediately released pending notification of his relatives.
Sgt. Jeffrey Parr told the Reading Eagle that investigators did not yet have a motive or any suspects in the case and were seeking information from anyone who might have seen something.
