The accident occurred shortly after 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Salem and Maple Roads.
It was there that a sport utility vehicle collided with a silver sedan. The sedan sustained front-end damage and the SUV rolled over at least once, trapping an occupant inside.
Fire crews responded and were able to extricate the occupant of the SUV. That person was air lifted to an area hospital for treatment. There is no word on the severity of the injuries sustained in the crash.
Accident scene investigators have not yet released the cause of the crash.
