The first district police officer's cruiser slammed into a minivan at 17th and Snyder in South Philadelphia. The minivan flipped over upon impact.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. No one in the minivan was reported injured.
Police say the officer was responding to 16th and Snyder, where a man was acting unruly. Investigators say that man is an assistant district attorney. He has not been charged with any crime.
