Dancing all night for a good cause

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - February 21, 2011

The annual Penn State dance marathon has raised a record amount of money, more than $9.8 million.

About 700 dancers began to tango and twist on Friday night.

The students were still dancing 46 hours later, when the "THON" ended.

The Centre Daily Times reports this year's marathon eclipsed last year's record by nearly two million bucks.

The money goes to Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.
