They got to witness a humpback whale giving birth at Whalers Cove.
Resort general manager Marianne Martin says the mamma whale pushed the newborn to the surface, as if to show the calf to the world.
Martin tells a local paper the adult whale was so large, people wondered how she could turn around in the small cove.
The whales stayed in the area for a few hours, before swimming away.
