An emergency call came in just before 3:00 p.m. Friday after someone reported seeing a little girl on the banks of the creek near Adams Avenue, then vanish.
Rescuers later said two people claimed to have seen a girl fall in the water.
Police and fire units were combing the creek by boat on a stretch from Tabor Road to Adams Avenue.
However, after a search involving a number of rescue units, authorities say there is no evidence a child fell in.
