1 killed, another injured in North Phila. shooting

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - February 27, 2011

Police tell Action News that around 3:00 a.m. the 2 victims were in an SUV with a third man when shots rang out near the intersection of North 5th Street and Cambria Streets.

The vehicle continued east on Cambria Street where it came to a stop near Hancock Street.

One of the victims, a 27-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The second victim, a 20-year-old male, was shot in the arm. He was driven by private vehicle to Episcopal Hospital for treatment.

Police have not named suspects or a motive in the shooting.
