Let's begin by easing your pain at the pump. The national average price for a gallon of gas has reached $3.38. That's up 21 cents in just one week! But now you can find the cheapest gas on the go, thanks to free apps like Gas Buddy and TripTik from the /*American Automobile Association*/ (/*AAA*/).
The apps locate gas stations near you and show you their current prices. And there's a GasBuddy bonus, too. The site is updated by its community of users, so if you join in the reporting, you can earn points toward a prize give-away.

Next, video chatting has come to /*Facebook*/. A new program called Social Eyes lets users video-conference with up to six people. It requires no download or setup. All you have to do is log in to your Facebook account.
Social Eyes can be used publicly, for groups organized around common interest, or privately, just with friends you choose to conference with. Users can join or start as many groups as they like. Right now the program is free.

Next, pancakes. They aren't just for breakfast anymore.
Go to any /*International House of Pancakes*/ (IHOP) until 10 o'clock tonight, and you can get one short stack of flapjacks for free. It is part of what IHOP calls its National Pancake Day. It's a fundraiser for /*Children's Miracle Network*/ Hospitals and other local charities.
Since 2006, the event has raised $5.35 million. In return for the free flapjacks, IHOP does ask you to consider leaving something behind for the charities.
