A co-defendant in Michael Vick's dogfighting conspiracy case who was shot in the leg after a birthday party for the Eagles quarterback is charged with violating his probation.

A federal probation officer says in a petition filed last week that Quanis Phillips lied to him about having contact with Vick at the June party at a nightclub. Vick told his probation officer that he had spoken to Phillips.

Phillips' probation officer also says Phillips didn't tell him about run-ins with police.

His attorneys did not immediately return a phone message Tuesday evening.

In November 2007, Phillips was sentenced to 21 months in prison and three years supervised release for participating in the dogfighting conspiracy. He was released from prison in February 2009.
