The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. along the 1900 block of the Boulevard.
Police say a man in his 40s was crossing the roadway when he was struck by a motorist traveling eastbound.
Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Police were forced to shut down the Admiral Wilson Boulevard eastbound for approximately two hours while they investigated.
The driver did stop. No word on if that person will face any charges.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
