Philip Fisher of Arden, Delaware says for the past 12 years he has been creating lawn sculptures and placed them in front of his home.
Since September of last year, a Gumby statue has been waving at drivers as they passed by, but now he's gone.
"He's kind of special. A lot of people on Harvey Road use him as a reference point; the Claymont Fire Company, I think, uses him as a reference point," Fisher said.
Gumby is made of steel (not clay) and is around 4.5' high and weighs 90 pounds.
Fisher says the value of Gumby is around $2,500 to $3,000.
Delaware State Police are investigating, but Fisher says he is willing to give a reward himself.
