The accident happened at around midnight near Haldeman Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia.
Police tell Action News that the vehicle was traveling northbound on the Boulevard near Comly Road when it crossed onto the center median and struck a tree. The 28-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have yet to release the identity of the victim of the crash.
Police are still trying to figure out what caused the driver to lose control.
