The shooting occurred around 5:50 p.m. Tuesday along the 3000 block of Clifford Street.
Police say the victim, described only as a male, suffered 10 gunshot wounds - five to the mid-section, two to the left thigh, two to the ankle and one to the buttocks.
Police determined they could not wait for a medic, so they transported the victim to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
There is no word yet on a suspect.
