Man wanted for Aston indecent assault

ASTON, Pa. - March 8, 2011

The incident occurred on March 2nd, around 10:00 a.m., at the Giant Super Market on Concord Road.

When police arrived to the scene, a woman told authorities she was a victim of an indecent assault by a man.

After reviewing the video footage, police observe a white male, in his early to mid 50's, enter the store after parking his tractor trailer in the front lot. The suspect came inside the store, approached the customer service counter and asked for directions to the "industrial park". There are several industrial parks in close proximity, however, the employee directed the suspect to the I-95 Industrial Park in Chester Township.

After obtaining directions, the suspect began to walk about the store. At no time did he look at any items, but was spotted following female customers. The man is seen constantly looking about with his right hand in his pocket.

The video depicts the suspect exiting the cereal aisle directly behind the victim. The male quickly turns the away from the victim and exits the store. The video footage shows the victim reach behind and check the back of her pants immediately after the suspect walks away. The suspect is spotted leaving the store, constantly looking back, to see if he is being watched or followed.

The suspect is described as a white male, believed to be in his early to mid 50's. He is approximately 5'10 and believed to weigh about 180 lbs. His hair and beard is reddish gray. The suspect was wearing a black NASCAR style ball cap, brown leather jacket, a black t-shirt with the depiction of "Mozart" on the front, blue jeans and sneakers. The vehicle is an orange tractor pulling a full size trailer with no writing on either.

Investigators have obtained video from multiple businesses. The suspected route the suspect traveled was I-95 to RT 452. This leads investigators to believe he was indeed lost and was looking for a specific industrial park.

The victim's clothing was taken to the Lima regional lab for presumptive testing. Those results are pending.

Anyone who has information on the suspect or the actor is asked to contact Det. Sgt. Mike Ruggieri or Det. Joe Nardone at 610-497-2633.
