Fire officials were called to the scene at Vienna and Aloe Avenues around 8:00pm Sunday night.
Flames engulfed part of the Absecon Mills factory, a business that makes fabric for furniture.
It took firefighters about two hours to bring it under control.
There were no injuries.
The cause remains under investigation.
Following the fire, CEO Randolph Taylor released the following statement:
"Last night's fire, while substantial, only affected a portion of Absecon Mills headquarters. Damaged in the fire was a shipping and receiving loading dock. Fortunately, the fire walls held up, leaving our offices and manufacturing facility generally unaffected. At this time, the mill remains closed, but I look forward to working quickly to rebuild and resume business as usual."
