Woman caught after apparent domestic stabbing

Police say a woman is in custody after an early morning stabbing that apparently started as a domestic dispute in Philadelphia.

The stabbing happened at about 5:30 a.m. at a home along the 1100 block of Kerper Street in Philadelphia.

The victim, a 46-year-old man, was stabbed in the chest during an apparent domestic dispute and rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say the suspect was caught at the Hess gas station near the intersection of Oxford Avenue and Levicks Street in the city's Summerdale section, after witnesses reported seeing a white convertible flee the scene of the stabbing.

No names have been released in the case yet.
