SEPTA service getting back to normal after fire

PHILADELPHIA - March 16, 2011

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority says regular trolley service will resume on the Route 10 by early Wednesday morning. It says it expects all trolley routes to run normal operations for the morning commute.

Buses ran in place of trolleys on some lines on Tuesday because of power problems.

A fire at an underground transformer disrupted travel for commuters heading into downtown Philadelphia.

The fire broke out Tuesday morning at 33rd and Market streets in West Philadelphia but was soon under control. The fire knocked out power to several rail lines.

A maintenance worker was hospitalized with burns.
