Police say 21-year-old Brett Sterr was riding the ATV in the Frankfurt Avenue pit.
He attempted to jump a homemade dirt ramp and lost control of the bike.
He was ejected from the bike and landed in the dirt.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by AtlantiCare Paramedics.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
The cause of death is still under investigation and will be determined by the Atlantic County Medical Examiner.
