Man shot in South Philly cell phone store

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - March 21, 2011

The shooting occurred along the 600 block of Washington Avenue shortly after 7:00 p.m.

Police say two men walked along the street then opened fire into the store, striking a 21-year old man in the chest and arm.

Police rushed the man to nearby Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The two men are described only as black males in their late teens to early 20's, 5'6 to 5'7, and were seen wearing black hoodies.

Police say they fled the scene on foot and remain at large.

There is no word at this time on a motive for the shooting.
