Philadephia Union kickoff second home opener

CHESTER, Pa. - March 26, 2011

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon and PPL Park was buzzing with excitement at the home opener of the Philadelphia Union in a stadium they call their own.

They came into the home opener with a win under their belt against Vancouver, and fans are looking forward to another great season.

Tailgating started early, grilling and chilling for some, brushing up on soccer skills for others.

Plenty of food and plenty of spirit for fans fueled for game time.

"We've been barbequing hot dogs and burgers, game going on. We're playing one big game before we go into game," said Mike Massa.

The season's still young, but these fans see a bright path ahead for the Union.

"It's great that they've got team down here. We've been waiting a long time. "We had a great inaugural season, the second season should be even better. We're looking for a minimum of a playoff berth. We want to take it all the way and win an MLS cup this year," said John Mickel.
