April Fools' Day nor'easter threatens NJ with snow

April showers could pack some snow over parts of New Jersey.

Forecasters say a nor'easter moving up the coast Thursday will bring rain and the precipitation could turn to snow on April Fools' Day in northwest New Jersey.

A winter storm warning is in effect for Sussex, Warren, Morris and western Passaic counties through Friday morning.

The National Weather Service says 5 to 10 inches of snow are possible in that part of the state.

The snow is expected to slow traffic and pose a threat to tree limbs and power lines.

Forecasters say heavy rain is in store for most of New Jersey that could pose a localized flooding threat in spots.
