Shelton says he'll keep it clean at ACMs - sort of

LAS VEGAS (AP) - April 2, 2011

She's worried her fiance may let fly with one of the seven dirty words outlawed on television as he joins /*Reba McEntire*/ as co-host of the show Sunday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"He's so quick and good at ad-libbing - probably too good at ad-libbing," said Lambert, the lead awards nominee with seven. "My advice to CBS was a three-second delay, 'cause you never know what's going to come out of his mouth."

/*Blake Shelton*/, known for his quick wit and saucy jokes, says he's going to try to keep from disappointing Reba, a longtime friend who doesn't always find his antics funny. They've been friends for years, and he says he's learned to tell how she feels about his jokes based on her facial expressions.

"If you can ever imagine what Reba would look like if she threw up in her mouth a little bit, the look that would be on her face, that will be the look on her face whenever I'm telling my jokes out there," Shelton said.

He says he's not sure exactly which words are forbidden, but he has a few in mind he plans to use that he thinks will make it past censors. He's been advised to stick to the script, but isn't making any promises.

"If I don't get fired, then I haven't done my job," Shelton quipped.
