Yes, you CAN be addicted to chocolate

Now there is physical proof such an addiction can happen.

Yale University food researchers gave questionnaires to 39 women, and, based on the results, split them into high and low scores for food addiction.

The women were then shown pictures of either water or a milkshake, and also given a taste of each as they underwent MRI brain scans.

It turns out the area of the brain that is linked to cravings was more active for the women who scored higher on the food addiction test.

And there was also less activity for those women in the area tied to restraint.
