The Jason Matthew Salon in Center City hosted "The Beauty of Healing" last week.
The event gives women receiving cancer treatments the opportunity to relax and, hopefully, lift their spirits.
The ladies received complimentary services including head shaving, wig styling, manicures, massages, facials and makeup application from professional stylists.
Senior Stylist Joe Howe hopes the event will help the women cope with the side effects of cancer treatment.
"You're in a world that you suddenly know nothing about, so we are here to help coach you through that and help you find ways to feel a little bit better during this process," said Howe.
By the way, this wasn't a one-time event. "The Beauty of Healing" will be held the last Wednesday of every month.
