8 injured in Bellmawr house fire

BELLMAWR, N.J. - April 10, 2011

The fire roared through the home on Benigno Boulevard, near Saunders Street at around 6:00 this morning.

Firefighters arrived to find the home fully engulfed and one burn victim on the front lawn.

That victim and seven others from the home were rushed to Cooper University Hospital with injuries.

The Red Cross is currently housing three people displaced by the fire and are also providing food and clothing to the victims. They will also be assisting the seven other family members once they are released from the hospital.

Some of the victims were visiting from China. The Red Cross is working with a translator to try and determine the exact situation of the family.

No word yet on the extent of those injuries or what caused the fire.
