Rt. 202 reopens after fatal motorcycle accident

EAST GOSHEN TWP., Pa. - April 10, 2011

The accident occurred at 1:13 p.m. Sunday between Morstein Road and Boot Road in East Goshen Township.

Police say a motorcyclist lost control of his bike and entered into the center grass median. The rider and motorcycle struck the center guide cable and posts between the northbound and southbound lanes.

The operator, who was killed instantly, was wearing a full face motorcycle helmet when he collided with the cable guide wires.

The motorcyclist was identified as a 45-year-old male from Coatesville, Pennsylvania. His name has not be released.

The victim was riding with five other motorcycle riders when the accident occurred.

Police believe that speed was a factor in this accident.

Police are requesting that witnesses call the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department at 610-692-5100.
