Raw Video and Shot Sheet: Bear stuck in a tree

HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. - April 15, 2011

00:00 - Chopper 6 zeroes in on the bear spotted in the tree along the N.J. Turnpike.

00:06 - The first N.J. State Police Troopers arrive and start to document the scene as wildlife officials are dispatched

00:13 - The bear continues to hang out in the tree while

00:21 - workers start to assemble netting to catch the bear.

00:42 - Apparently not liking what's been spotted below, the bear scampers up the tree a little higher

00:59 - A shot of the traffic that has started to accumulate as people slow down to see what's going on.

01:10 - The bear is shot with a tranquilizer dart and then scurries up the tree even more.

01:55 - The bear gets very sleepy and gets situated in a comfortable spot in the tree.

02:52 - Action News live coverage with Rick Williams, Sarah Bloomquist and Nora Muchanic begins as the workers keep trying to get the bear out of the tree.

05:35 - Workers pull the bear into a firetruck rescue basket

06:20 - The long ride back to the ground begins.

07:14 - The bear is unloaded from the truck basket and taken to a truck for relocation to the woods of northern New Jersey.
