Officers were called to the 2500 block of Carroll Street around 11:00 a.m. for a report of a woman stabbed.
When officers arrived, they saw a man in a 2nd floor window armed with a butcher knife. Police say he refused to put it down or come outside.
Finally, almost two hours later, the man came outside with cuts on one of his hands and a leg.
As it turns out, there was never a woman stabbed.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital to be treated for his wounds.
There is no word yet on any charges.
